Is your Camping Location Really the Right One?

The world is so big that we should not be limited to one place. It’s good to go out and go around. Taking a trip home is really an enviable romantic life.

For travellers, one of the benefits of self-driving travel is that you can park and camp at any time and place, but it is not suitable for parking anywhere. Compared with spring and summer, the climate is relatively pleasant. At present, it is in autumn and winter. We need to think more carefully when we make tent stops and campsites.

Close to water

Camping rest must be chosen near water sources, such as near streams, lakes and rivers. However, it is also not possible to park the roof tent on the beach or stream. Once heavy rain or flooding of the upstream reservoir, flash floods, etc., there will be danger to life, especially in the rainy season or in flood prone areas, and should be avoided as much as possible.

Leeward direction

The problem of leeward should be considered when camping in the wild, especially on some valleys and river beaches. A leeward place should be selected, and the direction of the roof tent door should not be facing the wind. Leeward is not only for camping, but also for fires during picnics and barbecues.

Away from the cliff

When camping, you cannot park the roof tent under the cliff. In the autumn and winter, the north wind whistles. Once a sudden strong wind blows from the mountain, it is very likely that the gravel and other objects on the mountain will be scraped off, which will not only cause the body. Damage is more likely to be dangerous.

Near the village

Choosing to park near the village is a very wise choice when traveling by car. If you have any urgent issues near the village, you can ask the villagers for help. The benefits of the village are more prominent when there is no firewood, vegetables, food, etc. The deserted suburbs are more secure.

Shady direction

If you decide to stop at a place where you have lived for more than two days, you should choose a shaded place for camping in good weather, such as under the big tree and north of the mountain, it is best to shine the sun, not the evening The sun, in this case, if you choose to rest during the day, you can regularly open the windows to maintain ventilation, so that the roof tent will not be too stuffy.

Pay attention to lightning protection

In the rainy season or in areas with multiple thunder and lightning, the roof tent must not be parked on a high ground, under a tall tree, or on a relatively isolated flat ground. In the event of a thunderstorm, the roof tent may reach a lightning strike.
